Harry Davis and Company Auctioneers will sell the banquet facilities, furnishings and décor items of the historic Concordia Club in Oakland at public auction on Saturday, November 21.
The Concordia Club was founded in 1874 to promote social and literary entertainment among its members and continued to serve as a hub of Pittsburgh social activity until its recent closing.
The banquet facilities include hundreds of elegant chairs and assorted sized tables, place settings for 300 including collectable “Homer Laughlin” china, hundreds of silver settings, glassware and bar setups.
Fine furnishings and décor items to be sold include six large gilded mirrors, numerous framed art prints, brass table lamps, theater-style drapes, brass coffee tables, ladies and mens room appointments and more. Three pianos, including a Baldwin Grand piano will also be offered.
Commercial kitchen equipment to be sold includes stainless steel freezers and refrigerators, Hobart mixers, food processors, meat slicers and grinders, ice makers, coffee makers, hundreds of aluminum baking trays, assorted pots and pans, food prep tables and more. Also featured is a Handi-Comp Order System.
The November 21 auction begins at 10 a.m. with doors open for inspection at 8:00 a.m. Items may also be inspected on Friday, November 20 from 8 am to 4 pm.
