Our History

Born in the Monongahela River valley and based in Pittsburgh, Pa since 1955, Harry Davis & Co. continues to be the largest and most prominent auction and appraisal service in the tri-state area. Harry Davis & Co. was started by the late General Harry B. Davis. He conducted auctions of machine shops, restaurants, car dealerships, anything in the area that needed to be sold. His two sons, Martin and Stan Davis grew the company into a nationally recognized leader in the sales, valuations and business consulting for the food and beverage industries. The third generation continues to enhance Harry Davis & Co.’s strengths in industrial, manufacturing and food industries while expanding our expertise into scientific, research and development and real estate ventures.
